Every codec, decoded to spec.
Media infrastructure for the agentic internet. One POST /v1/decode turns a bitstream back into frames, hardware or software, metered to the minute and settled per call on the WAVE rail.
60 in = 60 outROUNDTRIP codec=libx264 · decode_frames=60 · roundtrip=OK
A decoder that hands back 59 frames has failed. Both certified paths hand back 60 of 60, so the count is the proof and the bar is full on every row.
Certified today on the H.264 paths, software and hardware. HEVC and AV1 round trips are still in certification, so this page does not claim them.

One call, every bitstream
Decode is the half of the trip that has to be exact. Send 60 frames through the encoder, decode the packets that come back, and count: 60 out. Nothing dropped, nothing invented.
A count that comes back at 59 is a bug, not a rounding error. The H.264 paths are certified on that count today. HEVC and AV1 are not, and this page says so until they are.
The call shape does not change with the codec. One JSON body names the codec, the response carries the frame count, the byte count and the rate, and the meter reads wave_decode_minutes either way.
A round trip a machine can buy
The route prices itself before it runs. An unpaid call returns 402 with the exact amount in the body, 10,000 units of six-decimal USDC on Base, and an agent that can read that number completes the call with no account, no contract, and no human in the loop.
One key and one meter cover the whole plane. Frames out of this route go straight into the next WAVE service under the same authorization header.
Federated — auth, entitlement, and metering run through api.wave.online; this spoke renders the front-door and forwards the rest.
